- Receive and review client RFP's.
- Prepare bid documents and subcontractor ITBs.
- Review and scope drawings, specifications and project manuals.
- Prepare detailed and job-specific scopes of work.
- Procure, scope and file subcontractor proposals.
- Provide value engineering.
- Prepare project estimates and budgets.
- Prepare project schedules.
- Assist during contract negotiation.
- Attend and document project site visits and walk-throughs.
- Assist the project management team as it relates to pricing changes, owner/subcontractor change orders and scope concerns.
- Minimum of five (5) years' experience estimating commercial construction projects to include commercial new/ground up construction, interior renovation/tenant improvement and fit-out projects up to $10 million.
- Must be experienced in quantity take-offs.
- Must have the ability to read drawings and interpret specifications.
- Prior experience with multiple bid styles (Lump Sum, Competitive Bid, Cost Plus and Negotiated/GMP) is desirable.
- Computer skills required – Microsoft Project, Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook), PlanSwift.
- Knowledge of the Florida market is preferred, but not required.
- Bi-lingual is preferred, but not required.
- BCCE/Construction management preferred, but not required.

Rycon's portfolio consists of projects and developments in health care, educational (K-12 & higher ed), industrial/warehouse, commercial, multi-unit residential, retail, financial, food service/dining, governmental, hospitality, cannabis, self-storage, and LEED facilities. We excel in preconstruction planning, MEP expertise, with experienced project team members focused on the multiple markets we serve. We also have an in-house Architectural Woodwork & Specialty Fabrication Division that ships/installs nationally.
We are seeking an experienced construction Estimator at our Ft. Lauderdale office.
