    What's the Role?

    The Shell Polymers Monaca (SPM) facility, located in Western Pennsylvania, is a significant petrochemical plant that transforms ethane into polyethylene. The facility includes an Ethane Cracker Unit (ECU), various polyethylene (PE) units, PE logistics, and supporting OSBL system. This position plays a crucial role in enhancing maintenance excellence by executing maintenance tasks within the organization. As an Analyzer Technician, you will be responsible for various tasks including:

    • Troubleshooting DCS control Analyzer interfaces
    • Reading and understanding piping/instrument and electrical drawings
    • Applying Electrical Safety Rules per site and OSHA standards
    • Recording work history and contributing to maintenance plan improvements
    • Performing maintenance on various Analyzer systems and components
    • Participating in environmental audits and team meetings
    • Assisting in equipment inspections and start-up activities

    What we need from you

    • Must have legal authorization to work in the US
    • Minimum of 3 years experience as an Analyzer Technician or equivalent
    • Completion of an Industry Accredited Training or Apprenticeship program preferred
    • Knowledge of electronics, chemistry, physics, and safety practices
    • Must maintain a valid motor vehicle license
    • Compliance with Company background, medical checks, and drug screenings
    • Preferred Computer Skills: iOS, MS Suite, SAP

    Physical Task Demands:

    Requirements may include accessing Analyzer equipment at both ground level and elevated locations, use of hand and power tools, and lifting up to 50 lbs. Tasks may involve working in non-climate-controlled areas and wearing a respirator for safety.

    This role is based in Monaca/Pittsburgh, PA. Relocation assistance and accommodation will be considered. The hourly rate for this position ranges from $36 to $50.17, depending on various factors.
