Hourly rate starting at $15.00

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
High School Diploma and one of the following:

• Associate's Degree
• 2 years of study at an institution of higher education (Equivalent of 60 semester hours)
• Pass the ETS Parapro Assessment with a minimum score of 460

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Must be able and willing to follow instructions from the classroom teacher
• Must be able to work with students within the general education and special education classroom settings
• Must be able and willing to follow an established academic/behavioral program
• Ability to perform verbal and physical de-escalation techniques consistent with CPI Crisis De-escalation (training offered)
• Must be reliable and have a good attendance history
• Must be able to work with all elementary age children
• Ability to provide and apply consistent behavioral management best practice to assist in student growth and development
• Must be very patient, kind, and courteous and able to work with a variety of individuals.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Tutor and/or supervise individuals and small groups
• Implement behavioral plans as developed by the IEP team
• Assist in transportation of selected students (as needed)
• Assist children with educational, physical (toileting) and emotional needs
• Be responsible for students during unstructured time, reporting to the classroom teacher
• Be flexible to necessary changes in job responsibilities
• Champion and promote diversity, equity, and inclusion
• Other duties as assigned by administration
• Perform essential job functions as specified for this position
