    Join Purdue University Fort Wayne:

    We are currently seeking a full-time on-site Bursar in our Bursar's office.This position's primary responsibility is to maintain the accuracy of student tuition and fee accounts as well as oversee the billing process to ensure that timely and accurate billing statements are provided to students. This position will serve as the primary institutional resource for all student account related policies and procedures, as well as ensuring compliance with various federal or state guidelines.

    Primary Responsibilities:
    • Assure Bursar systems and accounts are reconciled accurately and timely.
    • Work with auditors to facilitate and address findings on financial reports, processes, and other audits.
    • Oversee cash handling processes and assure controls are in place to minimize the risk of fraud or loss.
    • Participate in and oversee the annual tuition and fee setting process and the staff fee remission processes.
    • Provide direct and indirect supervision of departmental staff.
    • Reconcile and report student fee revenue and related financial information to Budget and Fiscal Planning.
    • Provide oversight for student organizations to assure that appropriate fiscal controls are in place.
    • Ensure that university standards, guidelines, and procedures regarding approval of new merchant accounts, processing of payment cards, compliance with PCI DSS, and annual PCI certification for merchants and e-commerce processes are met.
    Required Qualifications:
    • A Bachelor's degree.
    • At least 6 years of experience in management, accounts receivable, banking, or customer service.
    • A proven track record of increasing responsibility within a university environment.
    • Experience with ERP systems for student finance.
    • Experience utilizing technology to improve business processes.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    Preferred Qualifications:
    • Experience in student related services and federal financial aid regulations.
    • Previous Banner experience.
