- Semester of lessons is comprised of 10 one-hour lessons within the 14-week semester.
- The successful candidate will also adjudicate juries and recitals and participate in auditions and recruitment activities for prospective students.
- Additional opportunities may include coaching jazz combo performances, faculty recitals, workshops, and community outreach.
- The successful candidate will be expected to teach 6-8 semester hours.
- Master's Degree in Music in Jazz Piano or equivalent experience.
- Significant experience teaching musicians of varied ages and abilities.
- Significant performance experience.
- Successful candidates will have demonstrated a commitment to promoting equity, diversity, and inclusion in an educational environment.
- Demonstrated success in teaching undergraduate classes.

The Department of Music at Hofstra University is pleased to invite applications for one Adjunct Assistant/Associate/Full Professor of Jazz Piano for Fall 2024 and Spring 2025.

Salary/Salary Range
$1,422-$1,669 per credit

Hofstra University provides the above salary* as a good faith estimate of the starting pay range which considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience and education.
