    The Town of Wellesley DPW is accepting applications for an experienced fleet maintenance mechanic to maintain, inspect, diagnose, and repair a diverse public works fleet including on and off-road light, medium and heavy-duty vehicles and equipment.

    You will work as part of a team to provide exceptional customer service. We provide optimal working conditions including a modern, clean service area as well as access to specialty tools and equipment. Successful candidates will provide their own basic shop tools.

    Annual base salary range is $54,413 – $73,226. Additional compensation up to $4,200 may be obtained each year by achieving and maintaining ASE certifications. Test costs will be reimbursed upon proof of passage. A valid Massachusetts CDL Class B license with airbrakes and tanker endorsements, a valid MA Department of Public Safety Hoisting Engineer's License Classes 2A and 1C, a Massachusetts Commercial State Inspector License and a valid ASE Refrigerant Recovery and Recycling certificate are required within six months of hire. We provide training to obtain licenses and reimburse for renewals.

    40-hour work week with opportunities for overtime. Excellent benefits include health insurance, paid vacation, holidays and a contributory retirement account. In addition, we provide free uniforms, $1,000 annual tool allowance, $300 annual work boot allowance, specialized training and on-going professional development.
