The Team: The Oracle Database and Systems Technologies organization develops cutting-edge data management technologies that drive the modern economy, including the widely-used Oracle Database. Our team powers Database Services in Public and Private Clouds, the innovative Oracle Autonomous Database, and specialized hardware systems for databases used by numerous major businesses globally. Your coding contributions in this team will support critical systems used by billions, spanning various industries such as travel, healthcare, banking, and more - ultimately boosting global business possibilities and productivity. Career Level - IC2. Responsibilities: What You'll Do: The Database Engineering Team oversees the full stack development of databases like Oracle NoSQL Database, Oracle Times-Ten In-Memory Database, and the Oracle Database itself. This group focuses on distributed databases, scalability, security, analytics, and more, also diving into in-database machine-learning and AI algorithms to empower customers' businesses. Your role will involve working on Oracle Engineered Systems utilizing advanced technologies for optimal performance. What You'll Bring (Objective Minimum Qualifications): To be considered for a Software Engineer position in the Database Technologies organization, you must hold a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field by August 2024. Residing in the US or attending a US university is mandatory along with the ability to secure work authorization in the US in 2024. Proficiency in C, C++, or Java is required, along with the capability to implement complex algorithms and structures in sophisticated systems. Experience in Systems Programming areas is essential, including compilers, distributed systems, and more. An internship or relevant practical experience is also necessary.
