    Job Overview:


    The Manufacturing Manager oversees the day-to-day operations of the organization's manufacturing facility, planning, coordinating, and directing the activities that result in products.

    This position reports to the VP of Operations.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
    The Manufacturing Manager will be responsible for the following:
    Plan and determine optimal utilization of manufacturing workers and equipment to meet manufacturing goals.
    Assess the need for new manufacturing machines and methods.
    Ensure manufacturing stays on schedule and within budget.
    Coordinate manufacturing activities with Sales, Marketing, Procurement, and other departments, as well as vendors and shippers.
    Ensure compliance with customer, statutory, standards, and internal requirements.
    Recruit, train, and evaluate manufacturing workers; monitor performance and safety.

    Analyze manufacturing data to identify trends, anomalies, and improvement opportunities; implement methods to enhance manufacturing processes (e.g., reducing waste, implementing lean principles).

    Prepare manufacturing reports and present findings to top management.

    Required Qualifications:


    Bachelor's degree (e.g., in business administration, industrial engineering) and ten years of experience in a manufacturing environment, including three years as a plant manager, are required.

    Demonstrated ability to lead a diverse team of manufacturing workers.
    Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively across all levels.
    Excellent organizational and managerial abilities.
    Project management experience, preferably with certification.
    Training experience in manufacturing tools, techniques, standards, and regulations is beneficial.

    Physical Demands:
    Ability to communicate effectively with customers, vendors, management, and coworkers.
    Regular use of phone and email for communication.
    Normal hearing and vision are necessary for conversations, information reception, and document preparation or inspection.
    Stationary position required roughly 60% of the time, with occasional movement within the manufacturing facilities.
    Occasional exertion of up to 20 lbs. of force may be necessary.
    Good manual dexterity for using common office equipment.
    Primarily indoors in a traditional office setting, with significant time spent in the manufacturing facility.
    Extended periods of sitting while using computers or other productivity devices.
    Occasional use of eye, ear, and other protective gear in the manufacturing area.
