- Manages the organization's strategic sourcing system and related procurement activities, ensuring consistent treatment based upon established organizational practices and requirements, including financial considerations.
- Acts as internal administrator for all sourcing efforts, including recommendation and implementation of efficiency improvements.
- Leads comprehensive negotiations with suppliers including terms, price, operation standards, and other performance requirements. Serves as a resource for the organization on negotiations tactics, strategy, and required terms and conditions for all contracts/statements of work (SOW).
- Creates and maintains the organization's review process for all business and customer contracts. Reviews each contract for accuracy and completeness, interacting with other departments as needed to resolve issues prior to execution. Submits contracts to the Director of Finance or designee for final approval.
- Responsible for retaining all fully executed customer and vendor contracts and integrating the details of each contract into the organization's financial system.
- Reconciles accounts receivable and book-related entries in the general ledger system.
- Communicates with clients about billing discrepancies and questions; interacts with customers to resolve outstanding issues.
- Conducts account research and analysis for FP&A purposes, including month-over-month analysis of revenue. May provide ad-hoc reports as requested for high-level strategic analysis by management.
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field; graduate degree a plus. Certified Procurement Professional designation
- 3-5 years' experience in accounting and finance, specifically in contract review, invoicing, collections, and revenue/cash applications.
- At least two years' experience, with demonstrated success, administering business contract processes and controls in a fast-growing, small to mid-sized company. Experience in higher education and/or Online Program Management is highly preferred.
- Expert user knowledge of standard procurement practices; previous experience developing and implementing such practices is highly preferred.
- Working knowledge of ASC 606, Revenue from Contracts with Customers.
- Proven ability to develop financial analysis and modeling and recommend solutions.
- Ability to manage competing priorities effectively and deliver clear and concise information to management.
- The flexibility and versatility to be able to grow with the position, as the organization grows from the pre-market, product-building stage to a go-to-market state.
- Previous experience working with multiple external partners, as well as distributed teams working across the US.

The RoleThe Senior Procurement Specialist will build and execute business contract and sourcing controls related to the organization's procurement process. This role will also manage the review and application of all executed customer contracts, as well as those agreements for all business partners.
