    Our client is seeking an experienced IT leader with a strong background in tax technology and systems delivery to lead and expand their tax technology team. As a key member of the team, you will define and execute the tax technology roadmap, collaborating closely with tax practice leaders and technology services teams to drive business value through innovative technology solutions.

    Your Role

    Your responsibilities will include:

    • Leading the Tax Technology team, overseeing the management of existing solutions, defining future technology needs, and delivering new technology solutions.
    • Collaborating with functional leaders in Technology Services and the Tax department to ensure consistent delivery of technology projects and services.
    • Driving the development of the tax technology strategy and roadmap as a thought leader in the field.
    • Growing and developing the tax technology team to support an expanding portfolio of tax technology solutions.
    • Working closely with tax practice professionals to identify and implement solutions for business challenges and opportunities.
    • Providing project planning and oversight to ensure successful project execution and value realization.
    • Leading and developing staff, including capacity planning, performance management, and career development.

    Qualifications

    To excel in this role, you should have:

    • 5+ years of tax technology leadership experience or CPA certification strongly preferred.
    • A strong background in systems development life cycle, with specific emphasis on tax technology.
    • A bachelor's degree is required.
    • A proven track record of successfully delivering complex technology solutions at scale.
    • Knowledge of system integration and system architecture concepts.
    • Experience leading and developing teams, fostering engagement and camaraderie.
    • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills, coupled with high personal integrity.
    • The ability to develop strong interpersonal relationships at all levels within and outside the organization.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to bring clarity and alignment to support team effectiveness.

    Additional Information

    • This position will be filled as a Manager or Senior Manager.
    • Some local, national, and occasional international travel may be required.
