- Review daily schedule with ortho team during huddles.
- Prepare operatory for the procedure scheduled; ensure procedure tubs, instruments and trays are correctly selected and complete.
- Assist and perform all orthodontic procedures such as placing and removing arch wires, placing separators, preparing patient for banding, and preparing patient for bonding, delivering appliances.
- Take accurate impressions and perform ortho lab work such as pouring up, trimming models, and fabricating essix retainers, etc.
- Minimum of 3 years of Orthodontic Assistant experience or Orthodontic Assistant Permit (OAP)
- Radiation Safety/X-Ray Certificate
- Infection Control Certificate
- Current CPR/BLS certificate
