    Description

    Position Summary

    Responsible for managing the operations of the parts distribution center (Regional Distribution Center - RDC) by overseeing shipping, receiving, and inventory control processes. Provides supervision to internal and external vendors working at the RDC. Focuses on achieving customer satisfaction and executing the RDC's Annual Business Plan.

    Major Responsibilities

    • Ensuring timely shipment of orders and efficient inventory processes.
    • Setting expectations for inventory control department and compliance with goals.
    • Collaborating with business partners for effective operations.
    • Providing direction for Warehouse Operations Manager and performance management.
    • Optimizing RDC processes to meet critical targets.
    • Managing expense budget and continuous improvement processes.
    • Ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and safety protocols.
    • Developing best practices and methodologies for RDC.
    • Overseeing development of policies and procedures for inventory control.
    • Implementing lean warehousing processes to enhance RDC operations.
    • Leading recruitment and selection processes for all RDC departments.

    Additional Responsibilities

    • Resolving employment policy issues in collaboration with HR and Legal departments.
    • Implementing inventory control systems and programs for parts business.
    • Representing the Parts Organization with field teams and retailer council managers.
    • Modeling positive behavior and serving as an advisor for conflict resolution.

    Required Skills and Qualifications

    • Budgeting and forecasting experience.
    • Project and facility management skills.
    • Strong personnel management capabilities.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and WMS/RF.
    • Leadership, organizational, and team-building skills.
    • Decision-making and problem-solving abilities.
    • Analytical and continuous improvement skills.
    • Effective communication, both written and verbal.
    • Recruiting and interviewing skills.
    • Self-motivation, flexibility, and ability to motivate teams.
    • Multi-tasking and rapport-building skills.

    Education/Experience Requirements

    BA/BS with 8 to 10 years of relevant experience.

    Work Environment

    • Warehouse: 30%, Office: 70%
    • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
    • Number of direct employees: 2-6
    • Required Travel: Less than 5%

    Compensation

    The compensation for this position ranges from $115,000 to $150,000 per year. Salary is based on skills, experience, and education. Subaru provides a benefits package that includes medical, dental, vision plans, pension, 401K match, vacation days, holidays, sick days, tuition reimbursement, and vehicle discount programs.
