- Independently provide or lead teams that provide technical assistance and advice on financial and economic issues related to electricity market conditions, projections concerning economic factors related to energy market conditions, or energy industry practices.
- Conduct theoretical and empirical mathematical modeling to estimate the risks, costs, and impacts of financial market fluctuations and regulatory policy changes.
- Analyze electricity infrastructure industry and possess a recognized reputation working for or with utilities, vendors, and state/local governments addressing electricity infrastructure needs and the use of energy storage technologies and best practices.
- Demonstrate strong writing capabilities and the ability to present information clearly and capably in a public setting.
- Support acquisition planning through development of market surveys, competition assessments, and strategies to increase contractor participation for renewable energy acquisitions.
- Provide expert consultation, advice and guidance on technical assistance, documentation of contractor exceptions, negotiation objectives, and rate adjustments/terminations.
- Participate in contract negotiation sessions and prepare written reports documenting the efforts and outcomes.
- Master's Degree in business, finance, economics or related field required. PhD preferred. Minimum of 15 years experience in the electricity industry, with 20 years preferred.
- Demonstrated knowledge of theoretical and empirical mathematical modeling to estimate risks, costs, and impacts of financial market fluctuations.
- Experience with projections concerning economic factors related to energy market conditions, or energy industry practices.
- Recognized reputation working for or with utilities, vendors, and state/local governments addressing electricity infrastructure needs.
