    Work Hours:

    Our office hours are from Monday – Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. This is anticipated to be 80% in-office and 20% remote (subject to change based on need and some travel required).

    Position Overview:

    As an integral member of our team at Pref-Tech, the Human Resources Administrative Assistant ("HR Admin") plays a key role in supporting the HR Department and fostering a positive work environment. This position involves various administrative functions to ensure the seamless operation of HR processes. Key responsibilities include:

    The HR Admin at Pref-Tech will be responsible assisting the HR Department and employees with any administrative functions including but not limited to:

    • Preparing and managing the pre-hire process for new hires, including coordinating with the new employee regarding new hire paperwork review and ensuring understanding and completion of the process as well as scheduling and coordination of the new hire orientation week process.
    • Assist with job postings, pulling assessments, candidate screening, and interview scheduling to streamline recruiting process.
    • Assisting and supporting HR audits to ensure compliance.
    • Process employee inquiries and resolve issues in a timely and efficient manner.
    • Manage HR Inbox and route inquiries as needed
    • Schedule meetings and manage HR Department Group calendar as directed.
    • Assist in coordinating employee events as directed/requested.
    • Maintain and monitor personnel records and update all related databases ensuring that all employee records are stored electronically, and all data entered timely and accurately in related databases.
    • Coordinate and collaborate with other departments as needed
    • Assist with new employee orientation
    • Complete employment verifications as requested
    • Assist with HR Department projects and initiatives as directed.
    • Monitor training assigned to employees to ensure completion of trainings assigned by HR Department
    • Assist with benefit portals administration as needed or requested
    • Maintain and monitor various reports and documents to provide current personnel information and that all employee updates are properly processed in all portals required.

    Desired Qualifications and Experience:

    • High School Diploma or GED Equivalent
    • At least 2 years' relevant HR administrative experience
    • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
    • Ability to remain flexible as daily priorities change; organize work and manage time effectively; think and act creatively when needed; multitask with frequent interruptions and work with all types of people in a professional and courteous manner
    • Fluency with Microsoft Office 365 software tools
    • Ability to maintain confidentiality
    • Willingness to take on new challenges and build on current skills
    • Capacity to work independently and collaboratively
    • Ability to work efficiently without compromising quality or accuracy
