    CORE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
    • Design standards-based curriculum using the Understanding by Design framework
    • Differentiate lesson plans to engage and challenge students of all ability levels
    • Create assessments aligned with course objectives and adjust plans based on data
    • Implement effective classroom procedures to maximize learning time
    • Reflect on teaching practices to enhance student achievement
    • Deliver academic content that is developmentally appropriate to all learners
    • Provide feedback to ensure student understanding
    • Set high expectations for character and behavior
    • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure alignment of academic habits
    • Contribute to curriculum and instructional program development
    • Participate in professional development activities to enhance skills
    • Maintain a positive classroom culture with high expectations
    • Contact parents to address student behavior or praise achievements
    • Participate in professional duties and events
    • Create a welcoming environment that promotes respect and kindness
    • Establish cooperative relationships with students, colleagues, and families
    • Communicate effectively through email and phone
    MINIMUM EDUCATION:

    Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education, or related field preferred.

    YEARS OF EXPERIENCE:

    At least one (1) year work related experience with strong outcomes preferred

    CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:
    • NCLB, Highly qualified valid Texas Teaching Certificate as required by teaching assignment or acceptance to approved Alternative Certification Program and results of TEXes exam.
    • Pre-K -8 assignments
    • ESL Supplement Required

    • Ability to establish rapport with families and children
    • Proven written and verbal communication skills
    • Strong organizational and planning skills
    • Possession of a passionate and loving attitude toward all children
    • Commitment to the vision, mission, values, and goals of BakerRipley Community Schools
    • Motivation to grow as an educational professional
    COMPUTER PROFICIENCY:

    Must be proficient in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, and Power Point.

    LANGUAGE REQUIREMENTS:

    Bilingual English/Spanish preferred but not required.
