Senior Software Engineer for Retailer Portals

Location: New Jersey, Camden

Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact with technical and non-technical colleagues
Ability to manage expectations of business and technical teams
Establish effective relationships with business partners and vendors to gather and clarify business requirements
Self-directed and disciplined; maintains a balance between project development, support activities, and a commitment to excellence
Committed to maintaining quality, customer focus, and strong relationships with business partners
Proactive and capable self-starter, willing to address issues, present options, and identify opportunities
Keeps up to date with IT development methodology, architectural design, and technical standards
Provides high-level and detailed task estimates; evaluates requests to enhance current capabilities
Coordinates effectively across IT, business, and testing teams for quality deliveries
Conducts code reviews and mentors other team members
Completes work on time following coding standards, conventions, and best practices
Works well independently and collaboratively in a team
Engages with stakeholders through meetings as necessary
Develops web applications, components, and services throughout the project lifecycle
Collaborates with the Manager of Application Development to architect projects
Skilled in troubleshooting and debugging systems
Tests and manages project deployments and releases
Provides production support on a rotation basis

Requirements:

Extensive experience in Java J2EE Spring framework 4.0
Proficiency in HTML, CSS, Javascript, JSP, and front-end frameworks (Vue recommended)
Strong SQL Queries knowledge, including multi-table join capability
Experience in web services software architecture and design (REST/SOAP) with security-based implementations
Knowledge of Java, data structures, algorithms, and asynchronous architectures
Experience with ORM frameworks for transaction management and persistence (JPA and Hibernate)
Proficiency in Oracle PL/SQL, SQL DDL, DCL, DML, and Query Tuning
Expertise in UNIX/Linux OS scripting and infrastructure systems
Experience in Database Data Modeling and building enterprise web applications with responsive design for mobile devices
Familiarity with Apache HTTP, Apache Tomcat, and network concepts
Ability to provide requirements to infrastructure teams and offer troubleshooting assistance
