Digital Water Intern - Virginia Beach, United States - HRSD
Description
Job Title Digital Water Intern Location Virginia Beach, VA, US Organization Name Data Systems and Optimization Work Schedule and Other Information This position is a part-time position up to 40 hr per week.
Under supervision of the Chief of Operations Data Systems and Optimization, Digital Water Intern is responsible for:
a.
Aide in building predictive/forecasting models that support streamlining HRSD Operations
b.
Aide in data cleaning that is required to build forecasting models
c.
Aide in wastewater treatment plant sensor and analyzer cleaning/maintenance
d.
Aide in performing chemical, biological and physical analyses on environmental samples, in support of various HRSD programs
e.
Aide in performing designated administrative functions related to analytical data handling and quality control
f.
Adhering to approved procedures and protocols
g.
Performing other analytical related duties as needed
h.
Working effectively in a team-oriented environment

Job Requirements

Education
Required
Working towards a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry, Biology, Environmental Science, Physics, Engineering or related science as approved
b.
Special Licenses
Required
Valid driver's license from state of residence
