The Chief Engineer leads a geographically diverse engineering workforce to achieve technical excellence throughout the product development lifecycle applying an interdisciplinary, collaborative approach to plan, design, develop integrate, validate, and verify hardware, then work with Operations to transition the product into production at rate.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options. This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret clearance Post-Start is required.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science5+ years of experience leading cross-functional engineering teams in an aerospace product development environment5+ years of experience leading analysis and translation of complex requirements into system architecture, hardware and software designs and interface specifications5+ years of experience in interdisciplinary engineering planning, design, development, integration, and validation and verification of avionics and/or electronics including hardware and software5+ years of experience executing quality requirements on Commercial or Major DoD programsWilling and able to travel 10-20% of the time, both domestically and internationallyPreferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):10+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experienceActive Clearance (a U.
