    Description

    The Test Equipment Engineering (TEE) team is a multi-discipline organization dedicated to developing test solutions for all Raytheon products. TEE is searching for a Software Engineer to join our team on-site in Tucson, Arizona to develop, integrate, test, and maintain software as a part of on-site factory support of test systems to support product testing. As a Software Engineer, you will develop applications, libraries, and instrument drivers with the latest technology and tools. The selected candidate will contribute to multidiscipline engineering teams, troubleshoot software and test equipment, and develop requirements for software products.

    Responsibilities to Anticipate:

    • Develop and integrate object-oriented software applications using C#, C++ in Microsoft Visual Studio in the Windows Operating System (OS)
    • Prioritize and handle multiple tasks in a production environment
    • Troubleshooting software and test equipment
    • Work in an engineering team environment
    • Develop requirements for software products
    • Written and interpersonal communication skills with Program Management

    Basic Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and five (5) years of prior relevant experience OR an advance degree with three (3) years of prior relevant experience
    • Minimum of five (5) years developing and integrating software applications using programming languages including but not limited to C++, C#, Java, Python or Visual Basic
    • Minimum of five (5) years of experience utilizing integrated development environments and debugging tools to troubleshoot software implementation
    • Experience with Windows Operating System and/or Microsoft Visual Studio
    • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance

    Qualifications We Value:

    • Knowledge of computer architecture and computer hardware optimization techniques
    • Knowledge of the development of software drivers for the operation of computer hardware interfaces
    • Knowledge in common computer hardware interface and data protocols such as TCP/IP, UDP, RS-422
    • Familiarity with laboratory test instrumentation, electronics, and software
    • Knowledge of the Unified Modeling Language (UML) to visualize software architecture and design
    • Familiarity of software development lifecycles, such as Agile
    • Familiarity of Software Configuration Management principles
    • Familiarity with Microsoft Azure DevOps Server

    The salary range for this role is 77,000 USD - 163,000 USD. Hired applicants may be eligible for benefits, including but not limited to, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, long-term disability, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, flexible work schedules, employee assistance program, Employee Scholar Program, parental leave, paid time off, and holidays. RTX anticipates the application window closing approximately 40 days from the date the notice was posted. However, factors such as candidate flow and business necessity may require RTX to shorten or extend the application window.
