    POSITION SUMMARY

    To perform this job successfully the Senior Sales Manager will be responsible for managing and overseeing industrial sales activities in the US.


    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

    Develop sales opportunities with mainstream industrial accounts.
    Direct sales forecast activities and set performance goals accordingly.
    Review market analyses to determine customer needs.
    Represent company at trade association meetings, food shows, tradeshows, etc. to promote products.
    Develop sales strategies and deliver sales presentations for key accounts.
    Establish new and maintain existing customer relationships to negotiate and close deals.
    Evaluate new market segments to develop sales strategies and market plans.
    Initiate product and service development to meet market needs.
    Monitor accounts receivable and sales transactions.
    Prepare reports, presentations, and budgets to top management.
    Monitor and evaluate competitor activity and products.
    Other duties and responsibilities may be assigned.

    QUALIFICATIONS

    REQUIRED EDUCATION, SKILLS and EXPERIENCES

    This position requires a Bachelor's degree in business and/or related field and minimum of eight (8) years of sales, culinary or food science experience and/or training in the food industry; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

    Experience calling on Dressing, Sauce and Prepared Meal manufacturers is preferred.
    Able to communicate effectively with customers' Purchasing, Technical and Culinary representatives.
    The individual must be proficient in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
    The individual must be able to define problems through data gathering and analysis, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.
    Must be able to work independently in cross-functional teams to meet set goals.
    A valid driver's license is required to perform essential job functions.

    LANGUAGE SKILLS
    The individual must possess excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills in English.

    MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
    Ability to add, subtracts, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
    Ability to apply mathematical concepts to compute rates, discounts, percentages, and draw and interpret bar graphs.

    Must be able to interpret an extensive variety of technical sales instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
