    Job DescriptionPOSITION SUMMARY: Foot Soldiers, a leader in community sanitation and neighborhood rejuvenation, is looking for an Operations Manager to command our daily operations. The successful candidate will enhance our Foot Soldiers initiative and drive our mission of fostering cleaner, thriving communities.

    TIME REQUIREMENT: This is a part-time role with the potential to transition to full-time within three months. Expect to rally the troops, especially during and following snowfalls, as operational needs intensify.

    POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
    Manage and improve operational practices.
    • Strategically manage and optimize operational practices.
    • Efficiently allocate resources and materials to meet service job timelines.
    • Spearheaded daily operations oversight for our dedicated service teams.
    • Develop and enforce HR-compliant policies and procedures.
    • Plan, route, schedule, dispatch, and oversee quality assurance through our cutting-edge technological tools and committed staff.
    • Uphold excellent customer service standards and maintain strong professional relationships with team members and clients.
    • Ensure our service quality remains high to maintain our stellar ratings online.
    • Direct ongoing technical training for our service team.
    • Ensure compliance with all local regulations regarding our services.
    • Join and lead special outdoor cleaning projects as required.
    • Collaborate with HR to conduct performance evaluations for service teams.
    • Manage our equipment hubs and inventory.
    • Execute additional remote responsibilities as needed.
    JOB REQUIREMENTS:
    • Proven experience in operations or a closely related field.
    • Robust project management, problem-solving, and critical thinking abilities.
    • Exceptional leadership, organizational, strategic planning, and decision-making skills.
    • Superior time management skills with a keen ability to meet deadlines.
    • At least three years of experience in small business operations.
    • Proficient in written and verbal communication.
    • Demonstrated capability to manage and collaborate with teams.
    • Experience with remote work and digital tools (Zoom, Slack, Google Docs, Quickbooks, CRM software, etc.).
    • Experience using reports, dashboards, and metrics to track and plan program progress.
    • Knowledge of office management systems and procedures.
    • Independent and critical thinking skills.
    • Technological requirements: Laptop with Intel Core i5 or better, 8GB RAM; Smartphone (Android 2019+/iPhone 10+) with appropriate specs.
    ENVIRONMENT: We primarily work from our 12 Park Street, Brooklyn office. Some remote work is possible.
