    We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Dietary Aide to join our team. As a Dietary Aide, you will be responsible for assisting in the preparation and serving of meals to our residents. You will work closely with our dietary team to ensure that our residents receive nutritious and delicious meals that meet their dietary needs.

    Responsibilities:

    Assist in the preparation and serving of meals to residents

    Ensure that meals are prepared according to dietary restrictions and preferences

    Clean and sanitize kitchen and dining areas

    Provide excellent customer service to residents and their families

    Follow all safety and sanitation procedures

    Requirements:

    General:

    • Ability to obtain food handler's certification
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
    • Excellent communication and customer service skills
    • Ability to work well in a team environment

    Experience:

    • No previous experience is required. On the job training and orientation is provided.

    Other:

    • Must be able to read, write, and speak the English language in an understandable manner.
    • Requires the ability to employ patience and tact in dealing with residents, staff, and the general public.
    • Requires the ability to establish and maintain satisfactory working relationships with coworkers, professionals, residents and the general public.
    • The Dietary Aide must be organized, detail oriented and skilled in the use of equipment.
    • Must possess the ability to deal effectively with geriatric residents and multiply handicapped individuals.
    • Requires personal cleanliness and the ability to follow rules and regulations for safety and sanitation in Institutional Food Service.
    • Must possess sight/hearing senses or use prosthetics that will enable these senses to function adequately so that the requirements of this position can be fully met, to include the use of supplies and equipment.
    • Must be able to move intermittently throughout the workday and be able to turn, bend, reach over head and below knees.
    • Must be in good physical health and demonstrate emotional stability.
    • Will be required to lift, push, pull and move equipment and supplies in excess of 25 lbs throughout the workday.
    • This position requires standing and walking a minimum of 90% of the total workday.
