ResponsibilitiesHeritage Oaks Hospital is part of the UHS family of providers which has been highly regarded as an integral part of the greater Sacramento and Northern California mental health system since 8. Conveniently located in northern Sacramento, Heritage Oaks is a fully accredited, -bed acute psychiatric hospital offering a full range of individually tailored treatment services to adolescents, adults and senior adults, including treatment for substance abuse and chemical dependency issues with drugs and alcohol. Heritage Oaks is a Medicare provider in addition to contracts with most commercial health insurance plans. We are committed to providing service excellence to all and ensuring our patients receive the optimal level of care that will be most beneficial to their health and recovery.
We are currently looking for a per-diem Cook. The Cook is responsible for the preparation and service of breakfast, lunch and dinner meals for patients and facility staff according to the approved menu cycle and production sheets. Comply with facility and departmental policies and procedures regarding food services offered. Follow menus and recipes as provided by the Director of Dietary. Follow posted cleaning schedule and ensure a clean work area and dining room at all times.
This is a per-diem position
QualificationsEducation/Experience : Must have at least two (2) years experience in quantity cooking, a basic knowledge of modified diets; training in food service sanitation and possession of a food service sanitation certificate as required; experience utilizing industrial kitchen equipment and utensils; and some prior kitchen supervisory experience helpful. High school diploma or GED required.
Additional Requirements: Must be able to work with minimal supervision. Incumbent may be required to work variable shifts, overtime and flexible hours. Completion of Handle with Care class within days of employment and prior to participating in a code green is required.
