    The Clinical Practice and Site Administrator provides leadership and management of the SHMG walk-in centers and is responsible for the day-to-day operations to ensure appropriate systems, policies and procedures are in place to drive quality outcomes, patient, staff and physician satisfaction, and excellent financial performance. Consistently collaborates with departmental physicians and leadership to develop and implement the strategic plan for SHMG. Consistently works with team members to develop process improvement, quality improvement initiatives and readily respond to organizational needs. This position supports 9 providers and 14 employees.

    Responsibilities

    MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES / CRITICAL RESPONSIBILITIES
    • Provides operational responsibility for the routine business and clinical functions through administrative and clinical staff including front desk, medical records, clinical, and ancillary services to ensure maximum utilization of resources and the efficient delivery of services.
    • Supervises staff including the management of all administrative and clinical activities.
    • Resolves any medical-administrative problems in collaboration with the Medical Site Directors and keeps lines of communication open with staff to ensure high employee morale and a professional, healthful practice atmosphere.
    • Responsible for implementing the practice's mission and SHMG's strategic vision in a collaborative leadership style.
    • Provides leadership in developing, planning, and implementing the practice's business plans to the physicians at the direction of SHMG Leadership.
    • Facilitates collaborative problem solving and communication with the physicians regarding practice performance and physician productivity.
    • Recommends, develops, implements improvements for the walk-in centers.
    • Informs physicians and Director of Operations about current trends, problems, and medical activities.
    • Providers administrative and clinical oversight and adherence to clinic operating policies and procedures in collaboration with the Clinical Services Department.
    • Oversees efforts for recruitment, development, and performance evaluation of employees in collaboration with Human Resources and the Director of Operations.
    • Oversees the business and financial affairs of the practice in collaboration with the Revenue Cycle and Finance Departments.
    • Enhances operational effectiveness and revenue optimization emphasizing cost containment without jeopardizing important innovation, quality of care, or patient access/flow.
    • Champion for the implementation and maintenance of Patient Centered Medical Home and Planetree.
    • Maintains compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
    • Responsible for the oversight of the location, inclusive of the Physical Plant, Ambassador/Greeter, Security and Materials Management areas. Responsible for the coordination of these services in collaboration with the various Stamford Health (SH)/Stamford Hospital (TSH) Departments.
    • Remains available and accessible during center operating hours to include evenings, weekends, and holidays when applicable.
    • Ensures maintenance of the physical building, including routine maintenance of equipment.
    • Ensures ongoing commitment of excellence customer service and supports the customer service plan.
    • Ensures compliance with and knowledge of the company's Code of Conduct by all subordinates to ensure an ethical work environment.

    Qualifications

    QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS
    • BSN/ CT license required.
    • Other relevant clinical background may be considered.
    • Master's in Healthcare Admin or Leadership preferred.
    • 3-5 plus years managing in a healthcare environment with exceptional leadership and organizational/business management skills required.
    • Strong human resources and supervisory experience with 25+ employees.
    • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written English proficiency are required.
    • Excellent presentation and interpersonal skills.
    • Demonstrated success in program implementation, operations, and fiscal management.
    • Excellent knowledge of information technology and its application to the health care environment. Electronic medical records experience is strongly preferred.
