    General Summary:
    The Sr. Program Manager under the general direction of the KF-CCR Science Program Manager and Drs.

    Liron Bar Peled and Chris Ott will oversee the management of KF CCR Chemical Biology Labs and will provide administrative and management support for the Chemical Biology Program, its development and implementation.


    Program Management Responsibilities:
    Works with the Program Leadership in strategic planning and program development
    Provides support and meets regularly with Program Leadership
    Works with RSM to plan all phases of the construction and renovation related to Program creation and expansion.
    Works closely with Development and Innovation colleagues on SRAs, MTAs and donor relations.
    Manages a complex calendar and coordinates all meetings, interviews, and conference calls. Follows up with action items.
    Assists in preparation and formatting of large grant proposals relevant to the growth of the Program.

    Responsible for project management of large research grants, including organizing monthly meetings with collaborators, assisting with budgeting, and monitoring financials, and collecting documents for annual progress reports.

    Provides project management by collecting and proofreading documents to prepare progress reports of ongoing projects.
    Oversees the maintenance of filing and record keeping of important program-related materials and licenses
    Oversees and manages communication between research and clinical staff in support of translational research initiatives.
    Responsible for creating and updating the Center's website.

    Laboratory Management Responsibilities:
    Assists in laboratory space and facilities planning; make recommendations for changes; maintain oversight of laboratory equipment.
    Designs, develops, and implements new systems and processes to help improve laboratory operations. Troubleshoot issues in the lab and develops solutions to address problems.

    Designs and implements strategies to effectively manage research laboratory supplies and inventory, including researching vendors, executing procurement decisions to maximize resources, and maintaining supplies.

    Responsible for overseeing safety and security of laboratory facilities including maintaining current relevant protocols, regulations, standards, and safety procedures as well as maintaining standard operating procedures.


    People Management Responsibilities:


    Revised 4/2000 Assists PIs in human resources management and serves as the primary contact for laboratory staff, students, and postdoctoral fellows on matters related to HR, onboarding, facilities, and operations.

    Supervises lab technologists and junior lab managers
    Provides training and resources to lab managers and staff on procurement policies and procedures.
    Qualifications


    Qualifications, Experience, and Education:
    Bachelors required. Masters preferred.
    Must have a minimum of 8 years experience in research management. Prior experience working in healthcare, and/or project management desired.
    Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential
    Demonstrated effective collaborative skills
    Ability to work independently without direction
    Strong organizational skills
    Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
    Excellent computer skills including word, excel, powerpoint.
