    Salary: $90, $95,000.00 starting annual salary. Depending on experience.

    General Summary:

    The Senior Accountant will provide support to the Divisional Controller and the Accounting department. Incumbents may perform any combination of the functions shown below. This position description is not intended to be an exhaustive list of all duties, knowledge, or abilities associated with this classification, but is intended to reflect the principal job elements accurately.

    Essential Functions include, but are not limited to the following:*

    • Preparation of complex financial, statistical, and analytical reports and statements.
    • Assist in preparing budgets and forecast for P&L and investigating errors and variance analysis.
    • Prepare daily, monthly and quarterly balance sheet reconciliations.
    • Assist in establishing and implementing processes to streamline department functions.
    • Manage fixed asset reporting modules.
    • Assist in local, state, and federal reporting.
    • Coordinate all interim reports and year end closing.
    • Understand fully, analyze and reconcile various Revenue and Funding streams.
    • Preparing and posting Journal Entries.
    • Assist in Monthly close activities.
    • Assist in preparing monthly financial statements and account reconciliations.
    • Prepare daily, monthly and quarterly balance sheet reconciliations.
    • Interpret the financial records and suggest if any error is occurring there.
    • Perform related duties as assigned.

    Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:

    • Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and Auditing Standards.
    • Work well with all levels in finance and across department lines.
    • Prepare financial statements.
    • Work with a team and supervisor while exercising sound judgment and initiative in an environment of rapid change.
    • Perform advanced financial analyses.
    • Effectively communicate in English, orally and in writing.
    • Operate computer, MS Office software and Google Suite.

    WORKING CONDITIONS ENVIRONMENT:

    • 9Dot Accounting Office, Remotely, or Hybrid.

    Education and Experience:

    • Bachelor's degree with emphasis in accounting, economics or finance required.
    • Minimum of 3 years experience at a public accounting firm required.
    • CPA License or working towards CPA License preferred.
    • Employment eligibility will include fingerprints, tuberculosis and/or other employment clearance.
