FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

SUMMARY

This position is responsible for operating and performing preventative maintenance backsplash. Operators are responsible for quality of pieces completed. Requires cutting and re-sawing of stone materials. The job involves general housekeeping as well as shop organization and cleanliness

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Manually setting up and cutting various stone pieces to dimensions provided by engineers
• Re-sawing 3cm material to various thicknesses
• Preventative maintenance and operation of machine
• Meeting production schedule goals

MINIMUM JOB QUALIFICATIONS

• High School diploma
• Experience with cutting and polishing tools
• Detail oriented
• Able to work on a team or individually
• Ability to read measuring tools including calipers and tape measures
• Good math skills

PREFERRED JOB QUALIFICATIONS

• 2-4 years of experience in a production machinery environment
• Forklift experience

MINIMUM PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Ability to lift up to 100 lbs.
• Ability to work while standing for 8 to 12 hour shifts
• Ability to move and carry substantial parts on varied surfaces
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to safely operate overhead crane
• Ability to follow all safety requirements
• Ability to use measuring tools
