- Assist with Medicaid and Managed Care billing for agency services, including Personal Care Attendant (PCA), and other long term services and supports programs
- Coordinate with Billing Team to ensure all updated consumer information is within Claims database software
- Assist with monthly billings
- Monitor and analyze monthly remittance advices for billing denials
- Research and evaluate billing denials and coordinate corrective actions when applicable
- Monitor consumer status through the use of MassHealth Provider Online Service Center (MMIS) and the EVS systems
- Other duties as assigned
- Associates degree, Medical Billing Certificate and/or equivalent work experience.
- Experience with Medicaid and Managed Care billing processes.
- Experience with MMIS system and billing software preferred.
- Familiarity with ICD-10 diagnosis codes.
- A self-directed individual who is comfortable working within a team and independently.
- Well organized, ability to multitask, prioritize and meet deadlines.
- Proficient skills with technology including Microsoft 365, Teams, mobile devices, and applications.
- Ability to work as an independent contributor and as a team member in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent organizational and communication/interpersonal skills
- Must be able to maintain confidence and safeguard operational integrity by keeping information confidential.
- Ability to travel independently & reliable transportation required.
