- Provide leadership and guidance to UMCR teams responding to non-violent calls in the field that come in from centralized dispatch including calls related to behavioral health, mental health, substance use and well-being checks
- Monitor and assign crisis response calls from centralized dispatch to UMCR teams
- Provide field-based crisis intervention including de-escalation, resource linkage, risk assessment and community integration
- Support Program Manager with identifying staff training needs related to crisis prevention, intervention, planning and response
- Ensure all administrative documentation is accurate and meets contractual expectations and agency standards
- Review documentation to ensure appropriate resources and follow up are provided
- Develop and maintain a guide of local resources to link individuals to needed community-based services
- Develop community relationships within LAPD- Wilshire Division and surrounding areas to obtain resources and supportive services for clients
- Work closely with Program Manager to supervise and coordinate staff schedules
- Provide team supervision, support and feedback
- Provide field-based crisis intervention including de-escalation, resource linkage, risk assessment and community integration
- Work comfortably and independently in field settings
- Follow instructions, follow-up and complete assigned tasks
- Demonstrate effective interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills
- Collaborate effectively in a team setting and with community partners
- Perform basic computer skills required for record keeping
- Other duties may be designated as needed
- Successful background check
- California Driver's License and proof of insurance
- B.A. or B.S. degree
- 1 year of supervisory experience (preferred)
- At least 3 years' experience working with unhoused populations and/or with individuals experiencing mental health and substance use challenges
- Working knowledge of crisis triage, screening, assessment, intervention, planning, and stabilization services
- Knowledge of community-based services
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Bilingual Spanish (preferred)

A Culver City based mental health organization is seeking an organized, motivated and professional candidate for a full-time position providing field-based services in its Unarmed Model of Crisis Response program through the City of Los Angeles. This position is part of a program that receives and responds to crisis response calls through a centralized dispatch that includes social services components — such as mental health, substance abuse, suicide threat, behavioral distress, conflict resolution, and welfare check.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
QUALIFICATIONS:
POSITION SHIFT: 9:00am to 9:30pm or 9:00pm to 9:30am (12-hour shifts, with no on-call responsibilities when not on shift; Will work three-day work week followed by a four-day work week on a rotating basis Monday-Sunday)
