    First Entertainment Credit Union is looking for an Associate Director, Strategic Initiatives, who will drive strategic research & development and related initiatives, while bringing significant domain expertise in one or more of the following categories: risk management, digital banking, marketing & brand management, banking enterprise operations.

    Significant experience in risk, fraud, and BSA compliance is desired.

    This is a full-time, remote opportunity reporting to the VP, Strategy and is based in the United States. Travel to First Entertainment offices or meetings may be required, as needed. The minimum and maximum salary range for this position is 106,349.59 $ to $159,524.38 in California. The target starting pay is between $106,349.59 to $132,

    Responsibilities


    • The role will be positioned to steer and influence cross-functional teams and will need to leverage exceptional creativity, pioneering, vision and communication skills to enhance our mission.
    • Build and lead operations and process improvement initiatives, as well as create member and/or employee workflows from scratch.
    • Oversee, create, and manage strategies, including the functionality and user experience of e-banking solutions, website, online account opening, online loan application, remote deposits, core integration, back office and client-facing operations, and/or related process mapping.
    • Compile data, analytics, and identify trends to implement growth strategies and scale development of digital banking, core, and/or electronic services.
    • Lead the development and implementation of automated processes and technologies to streamline risk management and compliance activities.
    • Develop and implement risk management policies, procedures, and controls to mitigate operational, financial, and regulatory risks.
    • Lead large-scale projects designed to provide an optimal end-to-end user experience, leveraging industry best practices.
    • Deliver concepts, personas, user journeys, storyboards, system maps, user flows, wireframes, visual design comps, and prototypes using mapping software, such as Visio.
    • Establishes milestones and monitors adherence to schedules and budget, identifies problems and obtains solutions, such as allocation of resources or changing business requirements and approaches based on system capabilities.
    • Hands on work on execution of project initiatives and priorities required, including acting as an individual contributor when or where necessary.
    • Communicate effectively with vendors and all levels of leadership in meetings, presentations, and interactions.

    Requirements


    • 5+ years in a management role in a risk management, technology, marketing, or operations department or experience working within digital-first organization.
    • Bachelor's degree in technology, mathematics, engineering, business, or equivalent work experience required. Advanced degree preferred.
    • Full-service financial institution experience preferred.
    • Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills, and able to apply critical thinking and constructive feedback to drive toward solutions and decisions quickly.
    • Strong technical and analytical skills required.
    • Very detail oriented, analytical, and strong attention to detail.
    • In-depth knowledge of Credit Union products and services, procedures and guidelines, and field of membership requirements.
    • Thorough knowledge of regulations applicable to essential responsibilities.
    • Ability to read, speak and write clearly to convey information effectively.
    • Effective communication skills across all levels of audience.
    • Knowledge of how to use a personal computer and MS Office products on a daily basis (Word, Excel, Outlook), and Jack Henry products (Symitar Episys, ARCU).
    • Ability to travel, on occasion, to corporate offices, conferences, or meetings.
