    We are seeking a Human Resources Generalist to act as a trusted resource for designated employees and departments by implementing, administering, and maintaining a variety of HR programs and providing support at various levels within the organization. This position carries out responsibilities to include but not limited to the following functional areas: employee relations, training, performance management, payroll, onboarding, offboarding, policy implementation, affirmative action, and employment law compliance.

    Duties:

    • Maintains the employee handbook, organization charts, new hire documents, personnel folders, etc.
    • Act as a liaison between employees and employer to answer questions or concerns regarding company policies/practices.
    • Conducts open enrollment, maintains portals, reconciles billing, conducts onboarding, removes termed employees for all benefits.
    • Assists in resolving any employee issues or conflicts that may arise.
    • Proactively support the delivery of HR processes and manage HR projects.
    • Administration of payroll process and timekeeping. This includes working with the company Controller to include biweekly payroll processing, compensation changes, quarterly bonuses, and employee status changes.
    • Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment and benefits laws and regulations. Actively identifying gaps and proposing and implementing changes as necessary.
    • Develop and implement employee retention programs.
    • Manage and respond to unemployment claims and requests.
    • Understands the importance of and protects employee/company information by keeping it confidential.
    • Plan and coordinate virtual employee events and company recognition program.

    Requirements:

    • Bachelor's degree or SHRM-CP
    • 5-7 years minimum of related work experience
    • A high level of integrity, accuracy, dependability, enthusiasm, and ability to maintain confidentiality.
    • Meticulous attention to detail and organizational skills required.
    • Strong computer knowledge and experience in using software programs related to HR, payroll, and accounting (e.g. ADP Workforce Now, Unanet, etc.).
    • Working knowledge of California labor law, including but not limited to EEO, FLSA, ADA, HIPAA, COBRA, OSHA, FMLA, STD/LTD, etc.
    • Knowledge of business management, payroll, and human resources.
    • Specialized training in employment law, compensation, employee relations, organizational planning, safety, training, and preventive labor relations, preferred.
    • Knowledge of employment laws and best practices.
