- Collaborating with the program's Executive Director to ensure program clients receive high quality mental health services
- Carrying a caseload
- Evaluating, diagnosing, and treating clients
- Participating in treatment team meetings and case conferences
- Writing treatment plans and clinical reports
- Providing court testimony related to involuntary medication orders (primarily by video)
- Participating in various clinical quality assurance activities
- Working with another Psychiatrist as well as Psychologists, Mental Health Clinicians, Nurses, ancillary clinicians, and security staff
- Liaising with partners at the California Department of State Hospitals and San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department
- Starting pay between $415,000 and $450,000 (depending on qualifications)

Job Description
Liberty Healthcare is now accepting applications for an available full-time Psychiatrist Medical Director position with our forensic mental health program which is based onsite at the West Valley Detention Center - a San Bernardino County jail located in Rancho Cucamonga, California.
Our mission is to provide comprehensive competency restoration services in a timely manner to justice-involved individuals who are experiencing mental illness and found incompetent to stand trial pursuant to California Penal Code 1370.
You will be required to work in-person onsite at the West Valley Detention Center in Rancho Cucamonga - Monday through Friday, during daytime hours.
Skills & Requirements
You are a good fit for this position if you are licensed professionally in California as a Physician and also Board Certified in Psychiatry.
