    Ronco seeks an experienced, self-motivated

    Healthcare and Education Systems Design Engineer

    in Charlotte, NC. In this role, you will research and design healthcare and educational systems from concept through final design.

    Additionally, you will play an integral role in the sales process by meeting with clients, consultants, and design firms to discuss our solutions' technical requirements and benefits.


    Accountabilities:
    Partner with the Account Manager to assess client needs and propose the appropriate solution for the application

    Conduct site surveys to collect accurate information for the purposes of quoting and system design

    Attend on-site and customer virtual meetings to discuss clients' technology requirements

    Create the full set of design documents, including riser and one-line diagrams, elevation drawings, and

    technical/operational

    narratives

    Actively participate in the bidding process by reviewing plans and specifications, performing floor plan takeoffs, and providing a bill of materials to the Account Manager

    Utilize PlanSwift software to produce initial design layouts for customer approval


    Perform all engineering calculations required to support the design, including power supply loading, voltage drop, speaker line loss, amplifier loading, etc.

    Produce complete design drawing packages, including riser diagrams and detailed equipment connection drawings for projects using AutoCAD

    Stay apprised of current products by taking advantage of online and classroom training offered by the company


    Requirements for Success:
    Associate degree in a related field or equivalent work experience

    A minimum of 1 to 3 years of recent experience in the design of healthcare, educational, or audio-visual systems

    Experience working in AutoCAD or similar software experience is preferred

    Demonstrated technical aptitude working with Nurse Call, RTLS, Public Address, Mass Notification, or similar products is preferred

    Construction process knowledge or experience is preferred

    Strong demonstrated communication skills, both written and verbal

    Basic knowledge of Data Networks is a plus

    High level of attention to detail

    Ability to organize and prioritize multiple tasks

    Maintain industry-recognized technology credentials
