Description

Dragonfly Pond Works is a renowned environmental service company specializing in stormwater management. Since its establishment in 2006, Dragonfly has been dedicated to providing regular maintenance and repairs for stormwater devices, lakes, ponds, wetlands, and underground facilities. The primary objective of this role is to ensure that our clients receive service of the utmost quality, while optimizing efficiency and productivity, and complying with regulations governing pond and lake treatment. This position plays a crucial part in the seamless and profitable execution of Dragonfly Pond Works' operations.

Responsibilities:

Assisting the Foreman in various pond maintenance tasks.
Mowing and trimming slopes and basins of ponds.
Removing invasive plants around ponds selectively.
Loading and unloading heavy equipment and planting materials from trucks.
Collecting company-owned equipment and tools at the end of each day.
Supporting other divisions like inspection repair when required.

Safe operation and maintenance of the following equipment:

Mowers - Stand on, walk behind, Ventrac.
Edgers, string trimmers, and chain saws.
Backpack blowers and sprayers.
Hand tools such as shovels, picks, rakes, and pruning tools.

Requirements:

Background and experience in lake/pond maintenance, landscaping, commercial mowing, turf management, pesticide application.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds routinely.
Aptitude to walk on steep slopes for extended periods.
Capability to bend and stoop continuously.
Comfort working outside in diverse weather conditions.
Exposure and willingness to work around bees, poison ivy, pollen, thorns, and other environmental hazards.
Adherence to safety protocols with chemicals and equipment.
Strong communication skills and the ability to inspire others.
Compliance with Dragonfly's policies and procedures.
