Description
The Cardiac Pulmonary Medicine Clinical Coordinator reflects the mission, vision, and values of NM, adheres to the organization's Code of Ethics and Corporate Compliance Program, and complies with all relevant policies, procedures, guidelines and all other regulatory and accreditation standards.
This position is an experienced Registered Nurse, who, in addition to providing direct patient care, is accountable for facilitating an interdisciplinary approach to patient care, patient flow, staffing, resource utilization, and problem solving on a given shift.
The Cardiac Pulmonary Medicine unit has 29 beds and admits patients mostly form the intensive care units or the emergency department.
With its focus in cardiology and pulmonology, our patient population will include patients with high respiratory care needs, as well as patients coming from post-cardiac catheterization and electrophysiology procedures.
The unit is set up with nursing and respiratory therapist staff to support patient care. We have our medicine service, along with our cardiology and lung transplant services supporting the unit as well.Responsibilities:
