- Mentor, supervise, encourage, counsel, and disciple RAs in the residence hall
- Assist in planning RA retreats and training sessions
- Lead weekly team meetings
- Aid in RA hiring processes
- Enforce College standards, rules, and regulations; report major disciplinary incidents
- Maintain visibility and availability within the residence halls
- Advise and counsel students, making appropriate referrals when necessary
- Assist in start-of-year and end-of-year residence hall procedures
- Support in emergency situations, reporting problems to the relevant officials
- Attend departmental staff meetings as required
- Perform other duties assigned by the Area Coordinator or the Director of Residence Life
- The RD directly oversees the RAs in the residence hall, handling supervisory tasks in line with Bryan College's policies and laws. This includes staff training, task allocation, and direction. Moreover, RDs are involved in staff recruitment, addressing grievances, and resolving issues.

Position Summary Male Resident DirectorThe Resident Director (RD) position is a live-in, 37-week, part-time (28 hours/week) role linked to the Office of Student Life. The RD reports directly to the Director of Residence Life. This individual is responsible for overseeing a positive living-learning environment that promotes the overall development of residential students, alongside assisting in the operations of the Department of Student Life. Collaborating with a team of student leaders (Resident Assistants - RAs), the RD aims to integrate faith and relationship with Christ into the campus living environment.
This position demands the ability to reside on campus, exhibit a mature and evolving personal relationship with Jesus Christ, demonstrate spiritual leadership, exercise good judgment, possess a passion for the college learning environment, work independently on projects, comprehend current student issues, and engage in educational and social programming.
As part of the live-on-campus role, perks include housing (partially furnished), a cell phone stipend, a meal plan, and graduate school tuition remission.
