    Job Role Purpose


    The Senior Manufacturing Engineer role will identify, plan, and lead continuous improvement projects, quality improvement projects that will help with overall Safety, Quality, Velocity and Cost goals of the Manufacturing Plant that they will work at.


    Machining exp - CNC setup & troubleshooting, CNC Lathes, Vertical And Progressive CNC Broaching Machines, Worked with all aspects of the manufacturing process including: CNC & manual lathes, drills, welding, Responsible for engineering documentation such as Process Flows, Control Plans per AIAG standards.

    Job Duties

    Develop processes and procedures using Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma principles.

    Work to create, update Quality, manufacturing process that are used to manufacture heavy equipment products / components.

    Hands on experience with equipment installation and the requisite work (foundations, utilities, hoists, fixtures, runoffs)

    Good knowledge of manufacturing, process planning, ECN, design review and CPPD.

    Execution experience with Quality improvement for Manufacturing using APQP tools.


    Experience of having worked in a factory environment with cross functional teams including operations, quality, design, logistics is an added plus.

    Creation of formal Technical Reports as required.

    Ensure that all ISO and safety policies are known and always followed.

    Other duties as assigned by the Engineering Manager / Supervisor / Team Leader as applicable.

    Background & Experience


    Previous full time work experience of 8-10 years as a Senior Manufacturing Engineer in a factory environment in Heavy Equipment / Agricultural Equipment industry.

    Previous Caterpillar experience (contract or otherwise) is a plus (not mandatory)

    Team player with good organizational, communication, interpersonal skills and ability to prioritize tasks

    Knowledge of manufacturing process like – Assembly, Machining, Welding, Weld process, Engineering drawing expertise, GD&T, PFMEA, APQP.


    ASQ certification in Six Sigma, Quality (Certified Quality Engineer), SME certification in Lean Manufacturing is an additional plus (not mandatory).

    Software Tools / Skill Set – Microsoft Office Software Suite, AIAG APQP guidelines, PPAP, PFMEA, Control Plan, Lean Manufacturing. Capital Project experience, New Product Introduction, DFM, Virtual build, Team Center.
