- Prepares drills and activities to meet the program objectives
- Selects and prepares required materials and equipment for each class
- Welcomes participants, takes attendance at each class and maintains accurate class lists
- Provides a variety of appropriate T-ball drills and skill development activities throughout the program
- Demonstrates appropriate techniques and skills to participants in the T-ball program
- Maintains a high level of instruction for all participants
- Puts away and stores T-ball materials and equipment at the end of each class
- Works directly with the participants and assists them in completing the day's drills or activity
- Communicates with participants' parents regularly regarding their progress in the program
- Oversees the safety and welfare of the participants
- Notifies the Athletics Supervisor of serious incidents, accidents, or inappropriate conduct and completes Incident/ Accident Forms, as needed
- A minimum age of 15 is required for this position.
- Good knowledge of T-ball, baseball and/or softball helpful, but not required

The Arlington Heights Park District (AHPD) is one of the most noteworthy park districts in Illinois. Located 25 miles northwest from downtown Chicago, AHPD is the 3rd largest Park District in Cook County and the 12th largest in the State of Illinois. JOB SPECIFIC INFORMATION
Come have fun with our athletics department as T-Ball Instructor Instructors are responsible for teaching batting, throwing, catching and running bases to preschoolers and youth. Hours include will include Monday - Thursday evenings, Tuesday and Thursday mornings, and Saturday mornings, totaling no more than 20 hours per week, depending on applicants availability. Required training will be the week of May 27th with a start date of June 10th.
