    *General Summary:
    • As a Utility at DECKED, you will be responsible for performing a diverse range of tasks encompassing inspection, assembly, operation of injection molding machines, safe operation of a forklift, and relieving press operators for breaks. Your role will be pivotal in ensuring the quality, efficiency, and safety standards are met throughout the manufacturing process.

    Essential Job Functions:

    • Inspection and Quality Assurance:
    • Perform final inspection of finished products, ensuring adherence to quality standards and specifications.
    • Conduct visual and functional checks during the assembly process to identify defects or deviations.
    • Utilize mechanical inspection tools to verify product accuracy and consistency.
    • Document inspection results and communicate any issues to the appropriate personnel.
    • Assembly and Operation:
    • Assist in the assembly of components using hand tools, fixtures, and equipment.
    • Operate injection molding machines efficiently and safely.
    • Follow standard operating procedures and assembly instructions to ensure product integrity.
    • Monitor equipment performance and troubleshoot any malfunctions or abnormalities.
    • Forklift Operation:
    • Safely operate a forklift to transport materials, components, and finished products within the facility.
    • Adhere to all safety regulations and guidelines while operating the forklift.
    • Perform routine maintenance checks on the forklift and report any issues to maintenance personnel.
    • Load and unload materials from trucks or storage areas as required.
    • Press Operator Relief:
    • Provide relief for press operators during scheduled breaks to ensure continuous production flow.
    • Familiarize yourself with press operation procedures to maintain production consistency.
    • Monitor press operations and report any abnormalities or issues to supervisors.
    • Safety and Cleanliness:
    • Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe work environment.
    • Keep work area clean, organized, and free from hazards.
    • Report any safety concerns or incidents promptly to supervisors.
    • Team Collaboration:
    • Collaborate with team members to achieve production targets and meet customer demands.
    • Communicate effectively to coordinate tasks and address any production-related issues.
    • Support colleagues in various areas as needed to ensure smooth operations.

    Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

    • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
    • Previous experience in manufacturing, assembly or inspection roles preferred.
    • Familiarity with injection molding processes and equipment is advantageous.
    • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications and work instructions.
    • Ability to work efficiently with minimal supervision
    • Reliability and punctuality.
    • Proficiency in using hand tools, mechanical inspection instruments and operating a forklift.
    • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
    • Capacity to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks as required.
