    is the prime contractor to support the Atlantic Range Technical Support Services (ARTSS) for the Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division (NAWCAD) headquartered in Patuxent River, MD, and with locations in Maryland, Virginia, and California.

    Background Information:


    This full-time position serves as an Atlantic Test Range (ATR) Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) onsite at NAS Pax River, Maryland.

    ATR controls and schedules range assets and services for conducting aircraft and weapons research, development, test, evaluation, and training events on the East Coast of the United States.

    ATR is a dynamic and exciting place to work that provides services as an Open Air Range test facility supporting our warfighters.

    This dynamic environment allows the ISSO to work on cutting edge technologies that may be one of a kind configurations.

    As the ISSO, you will be directly involved with these technologies providing guidance to the government on the best security approach for implementation.

    The candidate ISSO will collaboratively work with the ATR ISSM and other ISSOs.

    Duties and Responsibilities:
    Provides ISSO support to ATR's Range Instrumentation Division (RID), and RID's Aircraft Signature & Avionics Measurement and Telemetry Branch projects and programs, including other entities as directed
    Support the ATR ISSM and the Department of the Navy in applying the Risk Management Framework (RMF) according to the Joint Special Access Program (SAP) Implementation Guide (JSIG)
    The ISSO will shadow the current ATR ISSO to become familiar with the day-to-day security operations of ATR systems.

    This includes learning about system boundaries, SSP, SCTM, SOP documentation, and how managing and controlling changes to systems impact security.

    After a determined training period the ISSO will be assigned their own system boundary to include additional responsibility to support flight test missions associated with that system, day-to-day operations and monitoring of the system, and maintaining the system's documentation artifacts.

    Represent ATR with customer programs and their associated security office counterparts
    The candidate will be involved and expected to voice their opinions on improvements to ATR's security posture
    Works independently on complex tasking and consults with more senior analysts as necessary

    Educational, Experience, and Skill Requirements:
    Must have a BS Degree in a Computer Science, Computer Programming, Cybersecurity, or Engineering discipline from an accredited college or university
    In lieu of a BS Degree, a High School diploma or equivalent GED and 6 years work experience performing the stated or similar function or an Associate's Degree and 4 years work experience performing the stated or similar function

    Must meet and maintain educational, training, and certification requirements in compliance with applicable Department of Defense (DoD) / Department of Navy (DoN) Cybersecurity Workforce policy (currently DoD M/8140.

    01/SECNAV
    Having prior system administration experience is beneficial
    Understand the purpose of the NIST SP 800-53, CNSSI 1253, and/or Joint Special Access Program (SAP) Implementation Guide (JSIG) standards documents
    Proficiency with Microsoft (MS) Office tools is a must
    Prior experience operating and communicating within a classified environment is a plus
    Candidate must possess a valid driver's license and may be required to pass a drug test

    Security Clearance:
    Must currently hold a United States Department of Defense (DoD) issued Secret clearance and be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret clearance

    Work Conditions:
    Conditions will vary. Most work is performed in enclosed buildings, but some outside work may be required. Work will include sitting, standing, walking, lifting and reaching. Applicant should be capable of lifting lbs. assisted by other employees. Vision abilities needed to perform this job include close vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust and focus.
