This immediate opportunity is ideal for a senior level, self-starting, detail-oriented, and technically proficient individual to provide direct support to the Office of the Undersecretary of Defense for Research and Engineering (OUSD(R&E)). The NC3 Systems Engineer will develop and coordinate a significant command and control development plan to influence strategic C3 architectures. The NC3 Systems Engineer will also assist in the analysis, planning, coordination, and execution of NC3S Research and Development (R&D) related activities. The successful candidate will assist in supporting the identification and selection of new R&D efforts and participate in and coordinate the work of a highly qualified team. Additional responsibilities include working with the NC3 Enterprise Center, providing weekly highlights to government officials and support the development of a technology development plan and roadmap. Work Location: Arlington, VA Required Experience:
    • Minimum of 20 years professional experience with Nuclear or Senior Leader C3
    • Bachelor's Degree in a technical field of study and Master's Degree (preferred)
    • Clearance: TS/SCI
    Desired Experience:
    • Expert in developing system solutions to complex and challenging DoD problems
    • Experience in supporting technical, managerial or operational fields and have expert credentials or be recognized as an authority and have the professional judgement required to advise senior government personnel.
    • Expert in NC3 systems, mission threads, and technologies applicable to the NC3 mission
    • Experience with: National Event Conferences, Continuity of Operations (COOP)/Continuity of Government (COG) National Military Command Center (NMCC) and/or National Leadership Command Capability (NLCC)
    • Experience supporting the White House Communications Agency (WHCA)
    • Experience/familiarity with Joint Capabilities Integration Development System (JCIDS) process
