Job Description:
The Emergency Department Registrar/Secretary plays a crucial role under the supervision of the Manager of Patient Access. They warmly greet arriving patients and visitors, ensuring professionalism and effective communication of urgent matters to the clinical staff. Identifying each patient accurately during check-in, they collect essential demographic, contact, insurance, and eligibility details, along with primary physician information. Working in collaboration with clinical teams, interpreters, and other departments, they respond promptly and professionally to patient needs and department requirements. Additionally, they handle incoming calls and inquiries efficiently. The role may involve working across various areas of the Emergency Department based on operational needs and policy changes.

Hospital differentials include hourly rates of $3.50 for evenings, $4.75 for nights, and $2.75 for weekends, following the hospital's compensation policy.
