Under the direction of the Exercise Operations Division Chief, the Emergency Management Coordinator/Instructor II has lead responsibility for implementing, planning, and conducting all-hazards exercises in accordance with national standards – the Homeland Security Exercise and Evaluation Program (HSEEP). The Emergency Management Coordinator/Instructor II may be a course manager and instruct the HSEEP Course or other courses as directed. The Emergency Management Coordinator/Instructor II may oversee the project/work activities of Emergency Management Coordinator/Instructor IIs, Instructor Is, and contractors performing exercise planning functions or instructional duties.

The Emergency Management Coordinator/Instructor II has lead responsibility for coordinating all-hazards training in accordance with national standards – the DHS National Training and Education Division programs (NTED). The Emergency Management Coordinator/Instructor II manages entire courses, programs and/or manages significant portions of complex courses in conjunction with another Emergency Management Coordinator/Instructor II. The Emergency Management Coordinator/Instructor II may oversee the work activities of Emergency Management Coordinator/Instructor Is and other adjunct instructors performing instructional duties.

The Emergency Management Coordinator/Instructor II has lead responsibility for a curriculum area(s) within the Cal OES/CSTI Training & Exercise Branch. The Emergency Management Coordinator/Instructor II is responsible for developing, designing, and delivering training curriculum. The Emergency Management Coordinator/Instructor II manages entire courses and/or manages significant portions of complex courses in conjunction with another Emergency Management Coordinator/Instructor II. The Emergency Management Coordinator/Instructor II may oversee the work activities of Emergency Management Coordinator/Instructor Is and other adjunct instructors performing instructional duties.

Working Conditions

DMV Pull Program
Participation in the DMV Pull Program is required. The position(s) require(s) a valid Driver's License (DL). You must answer the questions addressing your DL on your application. Ensure you provide your DL number, class, expiration date, and any endorsements and/or restrictions.
