    Golden Rain Foundation (GRF) at Leisure World, Seal Beach (LWSB) is currently recruiting a part-time Recreation Attendant in our gym who is committed to health and fitness and the love of recreation. .

    Who we are:

    Leisure World was the first major planned retirement community in the nation. Our first residents moved in on June 6, 1962, and today there are more than 9,000 shareholders and residents who represent over a third of the population of the City of Seal Beach. We are a premier community with national recognition for active adults 55 and over. Our community is spread over 542 park-like acres which offers resort style living with all the amenities of small-town living. GRF has been serving the needs of this community since its inception, and we have many employees who love working here so much they've stayed for over 25 years

    Your Work Schedule, Compensation &Benefits:

    • Part-time, non-exempt (hourly).
    • Hours: 5-7 hours per day, 2-4x per week to include early morning and evening flex shifts, holidays and weekends.
    • This position is 100% on-site.
    • Hourly Pay Range is $16.07 per hour up to $21.92 per hour.
    • The above represents the expected hourly range for this job requisition. Ultimately, in determining your pay, we'll consider your experience and other job-related factors.
    • Benefits eligibility after your first 30 days of employment include: 401(k).

    In this position, your primary responsibilities include:

    • Verifying GRF membership
    • Supervising the conduct of members and reporting any accidents/incidents.
    • Observing the condition of the gym and reports any problem areas.
    • Other duties as assigned based on department needs.

    As a qualified candidate, you will have:

    • CPR/AED and first aid training/certification within the first few months of employment.
    • Ability to build a positive rapport with clients.
    • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
    • Ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel and reach often.
    • Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds.
