    The Clinical Nurse Coordinator (CNC) ensures and delivers high quality, patient-centered care and coordination of all functions in the unit/department during the designated shift.

    In collaboration with other members of the management team, the CNC directs, monitors, and evaluates nursing care in accordance with established policies/procedures, serves as a resource person for staff, and models a commitment to the organization's vision/mission/values to support an unparalleled patient experience and clinical outcomes that contribute to overall departmental performance.

    Manages the daily Surgical Services Schedule efficiently to ensure all decisions, actions and team performance meets the needs of key customers and stakeholders.

    Assists all staff to achieve their potential as members of an effective team by providing opportunities for employee development including educational activities.

    Serves as resource and mentor for staff in the clinical arena.
    Communicates effectively with staff, peers, director, and external and internal customers.
    Utilizes quality improvement as basis to improve unit/department process.
    Maintains unit readiness for regulatory surveys.
    Demonstrates clinical competence to practice within the unit's Scope of Service.
    Actively participates in activities to recruit and maintain staff.

    Key member of process improvement initiative teams, committees which address hospital and departmental goals and other such duties as assigned by the Nurse Manager.

    Adheres to hospital policies and procedures; supports the mission of the hospital.
    Required Two (2) years of current Nursing in which leadership and management abilities have been demonstrated.
    Required Nursing graduate with RN diploma or Associate of Science in Nursing
    Required At least two (2) years of OR Staff RN experience.
    Bachelor's degree preferred.
