POSITION SUMMARY:
Under the direct supervision of the Cardiac Cath.
Lab Director, the Cath Lab Manager, assumes duties and technical responsibility for specified functions in the Cath Lab in the absence of the Cath Lab Director.
This individual is responsible for the ongoing assessment of the quality of patient care services provided in these areas by practitioners.
Coordinates the provision of services under the Cardiac Cath Lab.Functions as a resource person for staff members and assists in necessary education of individual members of the Cath Lab staff with a focus on promoting clinical competency.
Assumes responsibility for the overall quality of care provided by the Cath Lab.Makes and implements decisions regarding activities within the Cath Lab based on Hospital Administrative Standards, Human Resource Standards, Department of Nursing Standards, and Surgical Services Standards in consultation with the Cardiac Cath Lab Director.
