Looking for part-time finance/accounting intern looking to gain experience in the field within a growing restaurant group Must currently be attending college working towards a degree in finance or accounting. This is an in-office position but don't worry, we're a fun bunch I promise

• Approximate hours will be 20 hours per week and we are flexible on the days/times.
• Assignment will be from May-September 2024, opportunity to extend internship.
• This is a paid, hourly internship.
• Located downtown on Michigan and Grand ave.

The primary responsibility of this position is to provide support to all areas of accounting and perform duties as assigned by the CFO.

The ideal candidate will be extremely organized, have excellent computer skills and exceptional critical thinking skills.

Qualifications:

• Currently pursuing a degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other accounting software
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively in a team environment.
• Eagerness to learn and willingness to take on new challenges.
• Prior internship experience in accounting or finance is a plus.

Responsibilities:

Accounts Payable/Receivable: Assist in processing invoices, expense reports, and payments. Help reconcile accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions.

Financial Analysis: Conduct financial analysis to support decision-making processes. This may include variance analysis, trend analysis, and profitability analysis.

Budgeting and Forecasting: Support the budgeting and forecasting process by gathering data, preparing financial models, and assisting in the preparation of budget presentations.

Financial Reporting: Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for internal and external stakeholders. Help ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.

Audit Support: Support the finance team during audits by providing documentation, answering inquiries, and assisting in audit preparation activities.
