    Description

    Store Coach Position at MOD

    A Store Coach at MOD plays a crucial role in assisting the General Manager in overseeing store operations. Your leadership is key to setting the store's tone and ensuring top-notch performance from the Squad to deliver an exceptional MOD experience. This position entails a mix of coaching and hands-on responsibilities where you guide, motivate, and embody the MOD ethos.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Lead by example in upholding MOD values and service-oriented behaviors
    • Exemplify outstanding customer service and contribute to the vibrant MOD atmosphere
    • Coach Shift Captains to maintain high energy levels and a positive shift environment
    • Train and guide Squad members on effective store task completion
    • Ensure cleanliness, maintenance, and quality standards of stations, products, and equipment
    • Stay informed about Operational Standards and available resources
    • Address performance issues and resolve Squad concerns in the absence of the General Manager
    • Manage cash handling functions during shifts

    Required Qualifications

    • Minimum 6 months as a Shift Captain or 1 year in supervisory role in retail or restaurant (exceptions with RD approval)
    • Demonstrated experience in leading, coaching, and motivating front-line employees
    • Ability to think strategically and act tactically
    • Stay composed and focused in busy restaurant settings
    • Belief in purpose, openness to change, and growth mindset
    • Minimum age of 18 years
    • Obtain food safety and/or alcohol beverage certification within 30 days of starting

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Display a service leadership style and strong presence

    Physical Requirements

    As a Squad member, you must be able to handle various physical demands such as working in an open kitchen, carrying heavy objects, and operating kitchen equipment. This involves mobility, dexterity, and effective communication in English with other Squad members.

    Working Conditions

    • High noise levels due to store operations and customer activity
    • Varied indoor or outdoor settings with changing weather conditions
    • Flexible schedule including evenings, holidays, and extended hours
    • Exposure to moving or mechanical parts, walk-in refrigerators, and freezers
