Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Head of Finance and Accounting to lead our financial operations and drive sustainable growth. This person will play a critical role in shaping the financial strategy, ensuring regulatory compliance, and optimizing financial performance.


Key Responsibilities:

• Financial Planning and Analysis:

Lead the financial planning and analysis function, including budgeting, forecasting, and performance analysis. Identify key financial metrics, trends, and opportunities to drive informed decision-making and operational efficiency.

• Financial Reporting and Compliance:

Oversee the preparation and analysis of financial statements, regulatory filings, and compliance reports. Ensure compliance with GAAP, SEC regulations, and other relevant accounting standards.

• Accounting Operations:

Direct the accounting operations function, including general ledger management, accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and tax planning. Implement best practices and internal controls to maintain financial integrity and accuracy.

• Treasury and Cash Management:

Manage cash flow, liquidity, and banking relationships to optimize working capital and mitigate financial risks. Develop and execute treasury strategies to maximize returns on investments and minimize borrowing costs.

• Team Leadership:

Build and mentor a high-performing finance and accounting team. Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement. Provide coaching and professional development opportunities to team members.


Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field.
• Proven experience (15+ years) in senior finance and accounting leadership roles within the biotechnology or life sciences industry.
• In-depth knowledge of financial planning and analysis, accounting principles, and regulatory compliance requirements.
• Strong understanding of biotechnology industry dynamics, including R&D funding, clinical trial finance, and revenue recognition.
