- Logs in, prioritizes, and closes out work order forms, for all maintenance jobs.
- Consults with Maintenance Manager and HAZMAT Coordinator for training and issues concerning the handling, storage, and/or disposal of HAZMAT materials.
- Assists with maintaining roll-off containers and trailers by removing graffiti and painting as needed.
- Assists with completing carpentry and painting/finishing work for new installations.
- Maintains a clean and safe work environment.
- Assist with responding to maintenance problems for all Goodwill mechanical equipment.
- Communicates in a professional manner when interacting with customers, vendors, etc.
- Operates fixed and portable hand tools used in equipment maintenance.
- Ensures all work is completed with the highest of quality.
- Attends scheduled meetings and training sessions. Adheres to all safety procedures and standards.
- Performs other related duties as assigned that would lead to successful operation of department, team, and/or mission
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to speak/read/write proficient English.
- Knowledge of or the ability to learn construction and building maintenance.
- Must have basic math skills.
- Available to work during any retail and warehouse operating hours, also including early morning, evening, and weekends.

The Maintenance Technician I is responsible for assisting with performing routine maintenance of all Goodwill locations including offices, retail stores, warehouse, and donation sites.
This position is intended to be an entry-level position with on-the-job training.Duties/Responsibilities:
Assists with performing repairs and preventative maintenance in all Goodwill locations under supervision of the Maintenance Technician II and the Maintenance Manager including, but not limited to:
plumbing, electrical, drywall, carpentry, painting, doors, windows, light fixtures, and flooring.
